See an Art Now show and you’re sure to have fun. This native New Yorker is a terrific keyboard player with a rich, strong voice and a large and very diverse repertoire. People think he’s a great showman, warm, bright and often very funny. To make things even more entertaining, Art plays multiple instruments.
He rocks on the accordion, a great-attention getter he makes sound terrific in many styles - from rock to blues, dance music, country to reggae. He also plays a killer blues harp.
Art has entertained in over two dozen countries from Norway to Thailand to the Caribbean. He’s brought The Art Now Show to piano bars, cruise ships, five star resorts and concert halls. He's performed in pubs in Ireland, beach bars in the Caribbean, was even the lead singer with The Hanoi Swing Band in Vietnam. When in New York City, Art works with some really hot groups and does solo work in clubs.
For the last couple of summers, Art was an entertainer in the annual Accordions Around the World Festival in Bryant Park, Manhattan on 42 street.
This led to Art being featured in the prestigious newspaper, The New York Times. Plus an interview with Art was broadcast throughout the summer on NY 1 TV News.
Art Now has a multi-faceted career in the creative arts. He's has directed musicals and has acted in plays on off-Broadways in New York City and in The Colorado Shakespeare Festival. He has also done voice-overs for radio and TV. He holds a Masters degree in Communications and Theatre.
Before becoming a full-time musician, Art was an award-winning writer and producer for major New York ad agencies, record companies and TV networks, including J. Walter Thompson, MTV Networks and Sony Music.
He's written and produced jingles for national television commercials, received advertising's coveted Clio award for his TV and radio commercials for Burger King and the CEBA Award (Communications Excellence to Black Audiences) for his music productions with some legendary rappers. He worked with many big stars, like Will Smith, Bruce Hornsby, Rick Astley and Gene Simmons of Kiss.
In St. Maarten, the Caribbean island where Art has lived for a number of years, he’s famed for his original song “I Wish I was a Fish.” The funny, colorful video for this catchy song has a ton of views on YouTube and people get wacky whenever Art performs it.
But now, Art realizes - no matter how hard he wishes - he will never become a fish - and perhaps it’s best to enjoy who you are and live in the moment. So his follow-up music video is called “Enjoy the Present.” And for tons of people the world over, that's pretty easy to do when you’re being entertained by Art Now.
Art Now! Why wait?
